Privacy policy
Your data, clearly explained
What data we keep, why, and how you can see it or delete it. No small print.
Last updated: November 6, 2026.
Who we are
Starfold Studio is an independent project, created by a group of people passionate about video games and technology. We are not yet registered as a company, and we look after your data as responsibly as we can.
We publish this policy to inform you, as required by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 on personal data protection, and by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for people living in the European Union.
You can write to us at any time at [email protected].
Your decision
Creating an account is optional. The whole website can be read without one. If you decide to create one, by ticking the acceptance box you accept this policy as it is published today. If you do not agree with it, simply do not create an account.
What data we keep
- Your account: username and password. The password is stored encrypted; nobody on the team can read it.
- Your email address, only if you choose to give it, to help you recover your account.
- Your progress in our worlds: stardust, scores, games played, badges and saved games.
- What you post on this website: comments, likes, reports and suggestions, together with your username.
- Minimal technical data: when your account was created, when you last logged in, and a cookie to keep you logged in.
We do not ask for sensitive data, we do not show ads and we do not sell your data.
What we use it for
- Creating and keeping your account, the same one in all our worlds and on this website.
- Saving your progress so it travels with you from one world to another.
- Showing your comments with your username.
- Reading your suggestions and reports of bugs or accessibility problems.
- Keeping things safe: preventing spam and abuse, and moderating content.
Where it is stored and who sees it
It is stored on servers run by the team itself, with protective measures in place. We do not share your data with anyone unless the law requires it.
Your username and what you post on the website are visible to other people. Your email and password never are.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete it, we delete your username, password, email, activity history, comments, likes and reports. Your game statistics (such as scores or stardust) are left anonymous, no longer linked to any name or account. If you also want us to delete those statistics or the suggestions you sent, write to us.
Cookies and analytics
Today we only use two cookies, both necessary for the website to work: “sf_sesion”, which keeps you logged in for 30 days, and “sf_aviso”, which shows a confirmation message and lasts one minute.
In the future we may use analytics tools to understand how the website and our worlds are used, so we can improve them. When that happens, we will update this policy, announce it and, where needed, ask for your permission.
Your data, your control
You can change your password or delete your account yourself from “My profile”, under “Account security”. If you want to see, correct or delete any other data, write to us and we will handle it as soon as possible.
Suggestions, comments and opinions
As an independent project, we do not have a formal complaints procedure yet. What we do have is a real wish to hear from you: we pay close attention to your suggestions, comments and opinions, and we read every single one.
Minors
If you are under 18, you need permission from your mother, father or legal guardian to create an account.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we will announce it in our news. And if one day we register as a company, we will update this policy to reflect it and let you know.
